How do I do ANYTHING here???

Help?

Here's how it is...I registered for an account and submitted a topic. First I couldn't preview the whole thing, the link going to a forum, and I have NO idea whether my post was in the thread. Then I couldn't modify my post to take out my signature--which I didn't know couldn't be a graphic one--so I had to go back on my browser. So I have the same post twice. Now I'm trying to find out who to talk to to get help for THIS forum, but I can't find it. So I'm posting this on the only place I can see is logical.

So, is there a certain amount of posts or something before I get the ability to modify my own posts or something? All I want to know is how can I find out if my rpg site was added to RPG Gateway, and I get this kind of grief. The FAQ really wasn't helpful, and the email address for Effie Rover couldn't be found. Every time I try to get help, it goes to this forum. So hopefully I can get help for this site here.

Also, and I'll be honest, if it's this difficult to post a question, and I can't even modify it after it's posted, then this site may not be worth my time.

Hello??? Anyone here? Anyone even reading this post? Anyone even care? Anyone know who the owner is and how can I talk TO HIM/HER??? No broken links, no "page not found," no bull...JUST SOME ANSWERS!!! Is that such a difficult request?

If this pisses off the editors or the owner, GOOD! Maybe that way I can get an answer to my questions?

Hey, this site is worth sticking with it. It has helped with my sites a lot. Now for answers, the editors aren't on every day, sometimes it takes a while for them to answer posts here. Just ask your questions and check back every couple of days and they will be answered.

Thanks for your reply. I'm not impressed so far, but evidently my little rant got two people to reply. All I'm looking for is an answer to my submission from a few weeks ago. That's the only reason I joined, to figure out what happened to my submission, since I didn't hear anything and I can't find it when I do a search. I mean, I have this site's banner on my site, I would appreciate a return on the favor...or a reason why I wasn't approved.

What sort of submission?

Do you mean a submission to the RPG Gateway using the Add you RPG site form? If so can you please tell us the sites: name, url, and category of your submission. That will make it easier to check up on.

Sorry for the delay. Many of the editors are just a little busy IRL at the moment. Seems that things come in batches (for everyone) Regular Sad

I submitted my board, RPG Arena, about two weeks ago using the add form on RPG Gateway. Here is the link again--http://goysu.proboards80.com. I really don't remember what category I submitted it under. I probably should've kept a copy of the submission if I knew I was going to have this many problems with getting approved.

I mean I can understand delays due to RL, but I expected at least SOMETHING. Instead I got NOTHING, not even a "thank you for your submission." I didn't think an acknowledgement was such a cramp in someone's style, but I guess I was wrong...

There are no acknowledgments to submissions because of spammers. If I sent out acknowledgments, I'd be sending email to hundreds of random email addresses every day.

I see your board - top of the list, which means it is slated for review today. Two weeks is generally a long time for a site to sit in the queue. But it isn't unheard of for the Play by Post categories. That is a very popular area, with many new sites to review each day. In addition, it takes extra time to review those since we have to go through the game and make sure it meets the criteria - rated G, game boards visible to guests, at least three active game threads, proper category (which is screwed up more often than it is correct).

You're there -- you'll be reviewed today. Sorry it took so long.

Thank you for your explanation and your approval. However, if you aren't going to send an acknowledgement of submissions, could you please say so? That way people like me don't wonder if their submission was blown off or if it's being considered. Thank you again, and I'm sorry for my ranting.

I was wondering about the lack of acknowledgment of my submission, and I'm wondering if you could tell me when my site is up for review. It is http://www.eternalrp.com

Thanks

Did you request to affiliate or advertise on my board, RPG Arena? If so, I haven't seen your request.

If it's PbP that's my department, um...it's Extension 897, but the battery on this neat'o fone o'mine went dead. So...but you can buzz it if you need me now.

If you submitted your site recently and it's been waiting in the rafters I probably just greenlit or redlit it like fifteen minutes ago. Free(er) schedule means I'm alive and doing things again. Burden is really on me if it's a PbP site. And a big kiss for anyone who picked up my slack. Don't be afraid to e-mail me, however, that will usually get me scuttling out from whatever stone landed on me.

If you can't blame Effie, you can always blame me.
