Blizzcon tickets go on sale June 2 and June 5 through the online Blizzard Store. This is a couple of weeks later than last year. If you've never been, this is a really fun convention - and huge!

Dragon Age: Origins is Bioware’s latest fantasy role-playing game. Those of you who are fans of previous games such as Neverwinter Nights or Baldur’s Gate will be well aware of Bioware’s capabilities and history at producing well thought out worlds, with depth, character, and replayability.

I just heard from the folks at BioWare and they're about to release some videos of the game illustrating the awesome cinematics (they call them high intensity!) You won't want to miss these. Dragon Age Origins’ release is set for next Tuesday, 11/3.

The number of female gamers increased in 2009 compared to 2008, according to a study of 20,000 online consumer panel members by The NPD Group. Their study Gamer Segmentation 2009 saw a four percent raise in females in what the group classifies as both "Heavy Portable" and "Extreme Gamers."

Big Dragon Age News! BioWare is currently running a contest that will reward a lucky forum user to be flown out to London, England, put up in a posh hotel, and given access to play DAO before it's available in stores and have the chance to win a share of $50,000.

It seems that the Everquest games are still chugging along after 9 years of activity. Recently the devolopers of these two (love 'em or hate 'em) venerable games announced that Everquest and Everquest II would be getting two brand new expansions.

Everquest, now in it's Ninth year, is releasing its Sixteenth expansion: "Underfoot", due out November '09.

I just received my review copy of this game. As soon as I wrest it away from my boyfriend, I'll be writing a review for RPG Gateway. Looks great so far.
